  1. I am having a hard time understanding the delay in a call back. What's with the end of the month ? I was told, I would be called back the next day and never was. What's the magic reason for the end of the month, other than a stall tactic. I've been very patient over this. I've made 3 calls and have gotten nowhere. I suspect at the end of the month, I'll get a call telling me to send in some required documents and then wait another month. This is the worst debacle ever.
  2. Why not check the prices at the dealers. Rebates are available. Maybe a NEW Energi can be had near the price of a used car after everything is calculated. Never bought used from any dealer or this type of sales lot. I don't think they're any different than anywhere else. The deal in cars to make a profit.
  3. I would buy a new Energi and get the rebates with better financing. It could be very close to a used hybrid after it's all said and done. Look at a new car and see if it's within your number to own a new one versus a used one.
  4. I see more and more of them on the road :worship:
  5. Oil filters and drain plugs are a common cause of oil leaks. Especially when lazy techs don't do a proper job and leave filters loose and never clean up after they're done with the LOF. Very common.
  6. Mechanic spotted after removing the complete drivetrain. A bolt can be dropped at anytime of the build and never be spotted. You're being way to critical about it. I know it's a PITA, but you shouldn't take it so personal. Like I said, it's a manufactured product with 1000's of parts/retainers and anything can happen on the line.
  7. It's a manufactured product with thousands of parts/retainers and susceptible to dropped retainers. They have a TSB for "BONUS" bolts making noise in the front suspension over bumps. I'm sure it's related and the problem has most likely been corrected during production. These things are just part of the build and get corrected after they find out about it on the line. NOTHING IS PERFECT.
  8. This is the biggest problem. People hear recall and run off with their hair on fire before they even know if the vehicle they own is even going to fall into the recall parameters. This recall is for 2013 productions up to Nov. 21st..
  9. I ran my NRG over the scales. 1/2 tank of gas with a few tools (10 lbs.) in the boot. I weight 220 and the total was 4,120 lbs. So it was right at the claimed 3,900 lbs. Not too bad for a PHEV.
  10. Yes, Kellytoon's. You're being silly. Some people just don't care about being one of the club. I wouldn't go to a C-Max gathering, but I do like hanging out on the C-Max's forums. I'm to busy to spend the time elsewhere. I have Mt. Bike riding to do as well as motorcycle riding and making money fixing cars ;) I enjoy talking to others about our cars and would never be a prude to anyone :victory:
  11. That's a 4-way paddle switch in the front with the voice command lift paddle behind it. Make sure you're using it properly. If you're accidentally activating the 4-way paddle switch in the front, you'll have this type of problem. Double check yourself when using the VC lift paddle. Make sure you're are not hitting the front one at all.
  12. The car has an accessories power buss that is on a timer. It will run for about 15 min. and then time out, unless you open the door. Opening the door will turn the buss off. It you want to leave it on for longer time periods, just turn the ignition on to the accessory mode and it will run as long as you leave the key on.
  13. I always drive downhill and get great mileage :love_shower:
  14. There's an A** for every seat. Chose wisely my friends or it could cost you more than a few MPG's :wub2:
  15. The Ford ESP plan would be the only extended warranty to buy. Make sure and buy the ZERO deductible policy.
  16. The hitch is the proper way to haul other cargo outside the vehicle without causing damage to the paint or mechanical components. IMO, those hang on mounts aren't worth the hassle. Using a hitch setup will allow you to add a carry-all if you wanted to load an extra trunk on the back of the car for long trips.
  17. Tell the idiot's at the dealer to look up the TSB for this problem.
  18. If/when my battery goes belly up, I'll be replacing it with the biggest possible replacement.
  19. I've owned a 1996, a 2002, a 2006, a 2007, and now the 2014. They were all diesel powered. It's the only truck for me. The 2006 was the best 5.9L, but nothing compares to the 2014. Stock it's 375 HP with 800 lb/ft of torque. It was very impressive stock. It's very quiet and smooth. I've added a programmer with 6 levels or power/torque add-on's. I run level 3 that adds 50 HP and 120 lb/ft. It really works well and I average 20 MPG. On road trips, it gets 24 mpg. It's the best Ram yet, IMO. 20. I don't let anyone touch my vehicles, PERIOD. My brother and I went to a hotel after a Rod Stewart concert back in the late 70's. I parked my 1969 Nova SS with an LT1 power plant and he gave his key to the valet. His car was a 1968 Road Runner with a 383. We were in the hotel and spotted his car doing a huge burnout and drag race session :shift: on the back street of the hotel. I started laughing at him and told him he should have parked it himself. The valet was fired on the spot. My brothers a COP :lol2: He was pissed ;) Valet's have a bad reputation and most steal anything they can find in your car.
