This sounds like it may be for the Energi's and charging the High Voltage battery.

Tips for Renewing Sirius Radio Subcription
zhackwyatt replied to Laurel's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
Interesting, I've been getting letters in the mail, each increasingly more desperate than the last for me to renew. Thanks for the info though! -
Thank You Ford for the 3.5.1 and Liftgate!
zhackwyatt replied to Jus-A-CMax's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
What's interesting is that not everyone has the same problems as everyone else. Valkraider reports just absolute horrible experiences with it which is quite different from my experiences. I wonder if there are still some out there w/ hardware problems. -
I don't think there does have to be a different version. I believe they use the same version across vehicles. There is no reason why the computer wouldn't have some value stored somewhere that said this vehicle is a c-max, display the appropriate information. Since mtb's update didn't work correctly, and it's half-there and half-not apparently, it's obviously not working as intended.

Unfortunately, MFT has been out for a few years, and 3.1.3 isn't the first version that was buggy. Every version has been buggy. I doubt this new one will be any different. It does however seem to get better with every release. -
Ford Etis Website - Check It Out!
zhackwyatt replied to ArizonaEnergi's topic in Maintenance, TSB's & Recalls
They may have said that because the Ford Servers are having problems? -

What increased Octane does and what Techron does are completely separate. Octane has to do with the compression in the cylinder. Techron is about cleaning detergents. If you had to choose between the two, IMHO, Techron or using a Top Tier gasoline (http://www.toptiergas.com/), is much more important for the health of your engine than using a higher octane gas that exceeds the minimum requirements of the vehicle.

There are supposed to be a lot of bug fixes. There was talk that the update would improve the quality of people listening on the other end of the phone. Noise Cancellation interfered. Anyone notice this? (I haven't had mine done yet.)

There is a way to mark the tank as partial in fuelly.

I don't know how to help you, your talking in a foreign tongue! :drop:

I dunno, the damage wasn't permanent. If it was on the paint, maybe a different story. I tend to turn-the-cheek in these matters. She probably has that problem a lot. Not excusing her behavior, but sending her to jail and a fine for non-permanent damage is a little over board in my opinion.

That was my experience when I was having stalling issues in my Explorer. It's a '98 so the computer doesn't have as many of the sensors and information as modern cars. They couldn't figure out the problem because the computer never told them what the problem was. I'm like, cars of yesteryear didn't have computers, what did you do then? We have a shortage of mechanics with skills in this country, IMHO.

I can't answer that, but I use Fuelly through text messages, so no data connection required. http://www.fuelly.com/faq/22/fuelup-via-SMS

fixing Sync system after dealership screwed it up
zhackwyatt replied to xanotos's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
The dealer may have partially loaded the software and screwed it up? -
Rattles in Front Suspension
zhackwyatt replied to darrelld's topic in Brakes, Chassis, Park Assist & Suspension
Check to make sure the rear seat-belts are in the slots above the seat. Mine come out with every use and always rattle. -
In case you don't know, you can get Remote Start after the fact as an accessory. It's an additional cost though.

Mine was built in Nov '12. Fuelly is in my signature. I live in Phoenix, AZ where it's going to be 106 tomorrow, so definitely be using A/C. However for March/April, the weather is nice and doesn't require much HVAC.

power liftgate vs. hands free liftgate question
zhackwyatt replied to csavage7's topic in Body Panels, Trim, etc.
BTW, it doesn't use the back-up sensors for the hand-free lift-gate. There are are separate set of sensors for that. -
Check out http://syncmyride.com. It should have the current version listed. I was under the understanding that the 3.5.1 update was an FSA.

Do you mean the unlock/lock button the driver door?
-
No it does not unfortunately. My parents 2011 Explorer Limited does however. Not sure why they don't make things like that a little more consistent across vehicles.

Definitely take a look at TSB 13-04-13. http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/361-battery-dead/?p=16224
