No it was a slide-out, showing posts from the Facebook page that I guess is run by the same folks that run the forum.

Leaf blower. Drive really fast w/ hood open?

Depends on the state. In Arizona it's legal to do a U-turn in an intersection (unless it's posted not to). In New Mexico you couldn't (or at least you couldn't last time I checked.) It can get a little confusing because each state does things a little different. Here in Phoenix Metro each city does things a little different too. Most cities put the green protected arrow before the normal green light. In Scottsdale, it's the opposite. Some cities have flashing yellow left-turn arrows, while others just have a green light, both meaning the same thing.

How long are these Lithium Ion batteries suppose to last ?
zhackwyatt replied to obob's topic in Batteries
Well that's depressing. -
I almost always keep it on 70. I'll use the remote start and it'll cool the interior before I get to it. Coming from A/C inside work to A/C int the car, the fan is already calmed down and interior is nice. I think this saves energy for me, because if I got in the car when it was hot and turned on the A/C then I sit in heat for a while before it cools down. Then the fan dies down because the interior is cool, but I'm NOT! So I have to crank it down more. Probably not much difference.

The subscription is for Sync Services not Sync. All the things you mentioned are built-in to the car and do not require Sync Services or a subscription Sync Services is made when you pull the voice button and say "Services". This dials a 1-800 phone number. There you have similar voice activated prompts, but its for things like, sport scores, movie times, horiscopes, weather, etc. (Some of that you can get in the car w/o Sync Services using Sirius.) You can also find directions and get live operator help. What I mainly use it for is to send an address from my phone to the car. http://www.ford.com/technology/sync/features/sync-services/

How do I turn off my DRL's?
zhackwyatt replied to armoredsaint's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors & Wipers
Right, so it has nothing to do w/ it being a hybrid. -
No Panic Alarm !

Only those with an Energi have a Type 2. You would have to ask the dealer if a Type 2 can be programmed with a Sel. -
Why C MAX ruined my Ford experience (not MPG related)

Do you think there could be a watchdog timer that forces a reboot of the system if the App does not respond correctly? I would give my right arm to sit w/ the MFT software engineers for a day :) -

Aren't all Ford Vehicles like that? DRL only in certain areas? -
I guess that's what I really meant, as he was talking about a multi day event.

Yeah, I was saying SYNC was being stupid, not Laurel!

Right, and what I'm saying is there is a difference between a kernel problem and an app on the box crashing. A lot of folks seem to have difficulty in separating the two. Just moving to Unix doesn't mean all the crashing will go away (or be reduced), which was implied in the comment I was responding to. I can make a crap application crash on Linux. -
Hmm, can't find that one on Google. Sounds easy enough to fix myself though.

My dealer has paid for a rental for my 15 y/o car which defiantly is not in warranty. One time because they had my car apart and ran out of time in the day.

Passenger side mirror question
zhackwyatt replied to RachelnLa's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors & Wipers
I see that a lot. I think my explorer's headlights have nipples. (That is not supposed to be joke, I'm serious. :) ). I wonder if it has something to do with molding process. -
How does Fuelly show up on everyone's posts?
zhackwyatt replied to C-Maxgo's topic in General Discussion
I use text messages. You text MPG ( Miles Price Gallons) everytime you fill up. -

Things crash on Unix all the time. The OS itself may not kernel panic very often (same thing that Windows does when it blue screens), but that doesn't meany any application that runs on *nix doesn't crash. As I speak I'm debugging USB issues w/ Linux that would never happen in Windows. The difference is that Windows is normally in a end-user setting where people are doing God knows what to it, where as *nix is usually in a server setting that has a couple things running on it, and is in a mostly non-interactive state. Obviously I'm making grand generalizations, and I'm not saying one is better than the other.
