  1. I am 100% sure that the first person on this forum to receive a check will post it here. In the meantime, it's *found money* people......gravy.......something we didn't have 2 months ago....take a deep breath......it'll be here when it gets here, and it'll be welcome, useful, appreciated, spent, saved, gone when it gets here. :flirt:
  2. Yes, ask and report back, or better yet, copy and paste the whole convo here for the rest of us Tweet-less souls!
  3. Well, that would be cool, except that I don't Tweet, and I'm at work. Hopefully some of us will be able to participate!!
  4. Ok, just updated the Post # 1, moving ptjones into the 700+ club, moved SnitGTS to the top 'o' the heap in the 600+ club :worship: , and added REC and Michiganmax as the newest members :congrats: . That gives us 38 members with > 600 miles, 5 members with > 700 miles and 1 with > 800 miles!!! :yahoo: WE ARE AWESOME and Ford should LOVE us!! :wub2: (If I missed anyone or entered anything incorrectly, please let me know.)
  5. Dang!!! I have some serious catching up to do. I'll work on getting the OP updated tomorrow, I promise!!!
  6. Nearing the end, sad to say. Grape juice (courtesy of a friend at work), one more round of apple butter and apple sauce, and *maybe* one more canner load of beans and I'm done. It's a love/hate thing. I love having all this bounty to can, but I hate what comes after.
  7. I believe it's always been $550 for those who purchased their cars, $325 for those who leased. Our Canadian brothers and sisters get more because of higher gas prices.
  8. Mine too Liz! It was on the passenger side. Jerry was riding with me the other day and I asked if he could locate it. He listened for a bit, told me to pull over, and found the seatbelt out of the guide. Seatbelt back in guide = rattle gone!
  9. Well, that would make sense, Ron. At least I hope that's it. Me too, Laurel. I love to talk about my car, to any poor soul who asks.
  10. Honey, they aren't advertising ANYWHERE that I've seen! We had the La Linea ads here in MI last fall, but I've seen nothing since then. Hell, there is more advertising for the C-MAX on this forum than in the media!
  11. Before the update I had 4 EV+ locations....home, work, Kroger (which I pass on the way to/from work, so I got extra there, and my dealership. Haven't been to the dealership since the upgrade, so I don't know about that one, but so far I only have home and work, and I had to *force* both of those. Kroger, altho I've been there more than 11 times in the month since the upgrade, has yet to achieve EV+ status. I'm tempted to force it x 11 but don't want to lose work/home......the ongoing science project that is my car :airquote:
  12. Hi Cowspotdog, and welcome! *Growly*.....that's a great word to describe it!! Mine was really noticeable right after the update but seems to have lessened.....and I don't think that's because I've gotten used to it. It's been a little over a month now since my update and initially my MPGs went down, it seemed to be running ICE more, and it was loud. I didn't notice the AC difference some have mentioned. But the sound has settled down, EV is getting easier, and the MPGs are creeping up again. I doubt I'll ever achieve the lofty heights of Jus-a-CMax or some others here, but I'm making the advertised average 47 etc again. I, too, love my C-MAX!!!
  13. Little bitey things that are virtually invisible = no see ums
  14. and especially to Jus...... I know I've been a slacker on the moderator job these past few weeks. Our garden and apple trees are still going great guns, so any free time I have after work goes to picking, processing, pickling, and preserving. I have a few minutes in the wee hours (4 am) while the canner is running and a few minutes, like now, at lunch at work. I'm trying to keep up with everyone's doin's and accomplishments, but ............. In a week or so it will all be over and things will get back to what passes for normal at our house, and I'll be back to bug all y'all. In the meantime, I'm thinking of you, take care and MAX-on!!
  15. I'll bet that young whipper-snapper officer will remember your kindness, tho!
  16. And now the main page is flipped.....what was on the left is now on the right, and vice versa. Doesn't hurt anything......Just to see if we're paying attention :airquote:
  17. I lived there for a short time many years ago. Suffered from *green withdrawal* and had to spend a lot of time up on Mt. Lemon.
  18. Yikes!! Where do you work? On top of Mt. Lemon?
  19. WHAT?!?! They didn't give you a loaner???? What's wrong with these dealerships???!!
  20. No excuse needed!!! You are a foster mom now!! You have rights!
  21. In the summer we have a vegetable garden. Jerry calls it his therapy. We grow about 40 tomato plants (I'm a tomato junkie), peppers, green beans, cukes, yellow squash, zucchini and okra, which means right now I'm doing a lot of canning and freezing. If we're not working in the garden, we're in chairs in the back yard in the sun, reading our Kindles.....that's as close as I come to doing nothing. Since Asia trains with a running team on Tuesday nights and Saturdays, I work the water stations for them. She usually runs 15-20 races a summer, so, if the course is spectator friendly, we're out in as many places as possible, cheering. In the winter I enjoy crocheting and needlepoint....and working the water stations. Oh yeah, and we have this adorable granddaughter that lives about 4 hours away that we visit every chance we get. That's me.
  22. Oh, you just made my night Shelly!! Thanks so much for sharing!!! Puppies are the best medicine!!
  23. WOO HOO!!!! Go Dave!!! Sadly, I can't update the OP again today!!! I don't know what's up with my computer at work. But I'll do it this evening if Jus doesn't beat me to it!!! We're on a roll this week!!!
  24. Nope, you are not being paranoid. I had the update done about a month ago. In fact, I just sent an email off to my dealership about my thoughts on it. Initially, my MPGs dropped......they were about 49 for the tank when I got the update, then dropped daily and seem to have leveled off about 45-46 for this tank. Yes, I can get into EV above 62 mph now, but acceleration and hills make the ICE struggle and strain. It's like driving a different car. Others here have reported similar or worse scenarios, while some have improved their MPGs. Someone mentioned on another thread that their dealership said it would take 3-4,000 miles on the update for their car to *relearn* their driving habits. I dunno.....I can certainly live with 46 mpg, but I don't like the whole acceleration/hill struggling. Is it a trade-off? I dunno. Will we see improvements this winter over last (for those of us who had our cars thru the cold months)....I guess that remains to be seen. And, if you haven't already been officially welcomed, seansrq11, well then...........WELCOME to our (mostly) happy family of C-MAX owners. Thanks!
