Oh honey! That just sucks!! What was the explanation for the delay, and the lie telling you it had shipped?

I remember you talking about that driver, Jus, and with the windows rolled down all you could hear was the silence of EV mode! I see several C-MAXs now on my drive to/from work. Only one driver has ever waved, and I think they were coming from the Ford dealership near my office. I get the feeling that they are *driving it like a regular car*, caring nothing about FE, but what do I know? I sometimes wish I could flag them down and talk! I did talk to a Fusion Hybrid owner at Panera the other day. I pulled in right after him. We were in line together, so I said, *How do you like your hybrid?* And the race was on! His was a couple years old, and he liked it so much that he bought a second one for his wife. They are getting ready to upgrade to 2 of the newest version. We talked FE and driving styles while waiting for our orders.............then he went his way and I went mine. But it's only the 2nd time I've gotten to talk face to face with another hybrid driver.

Thanks Jus! But I suspect there are not many more 600s in my future for a while. The weather is changing here and besides needing the defroster on some mornings, I can tell it's taking longer for the engine to warm. Fact of life in MI. But it's been an awesome summer, and later I need to do a comparison between cost of gasoline last year with the Liberty and this year with the C-MAX.

Even tho, it was a little scary, since I didn't know what to expect if I did run out of gas completely. I held my breath after I got over 616. Plus there was the embarassment factor of having to call my husband to come with a gas can.........all because I'm competing with the *big boyz* on this forum. :worship: So, it's *only* a 4 mile bump, but as I tell the runners on Asia's team, there is no *only* in this game (as in, * I'm ONLY running 16 miles today.*)

Was this in response to something you got in the mail? An email? A phone call? to participate?

On another thread it was speculated that it's alphabetical by state. Don't know the breakdown after that. Some (but not all) members in some A-M states have received their checks.

No, not holding out Nick. I had to top off in Ann Arbor because I had errands to run before going home :shift: :to fill up with those pesky Kroger Fuel Points.....I had 500 that needed to be used before they expired. So I put in, I think about a gallon, and then when I did fill up I just added that gallon to the total. I thought I put that in the notes.....I'll have to go back and correct that. *But* I do have a new PR to enter as soon as I can stop long enough to do it. :waiting:

I Oh Lord!!! I can only imagine!! When the last company I worked for, over 10 years ago, moved from A2 to Southfield, I had to drive from Milan 5 days a week, in Jan., Feb. and March!! Up 23 to 14 to 696 at 7am!!! And home at 3-4 in the afternoon. It was a nightmare!!! I couldn't wait to get a job back in A2. So happy with my little back road drive to work each day. So do you think you'll take this new route more often?

Any time I get a stretch of green lights in Ann Arbor it's like a gift :love_shower:

Nuttin' in Milan tonite

It's been about 2 months since the ACM was replaced and I'm happy to report that everything is working perfectly!! No *frozen* system on start-up even on the hottest days with the car baking in the sun for 8 hours. Radio, phone, screen......everything works!!! I don't even hold my breath when I start the car in the afternoons now! I appreciate the input from others here, and hope their issues have been resolved as well. Thanks to the engineers who came out to meet with me, and to Briarwood Ford for treating me with respect from start to finish.

I read an article on CNN.com last week titled, "Is Twitterverse the Angriest Place on the Internet?" I don't Tweet. I'm on Facebook because a lot of my friends and family who live at some distance are on there, and it's a great place for us to share pictures and family info in almost real time. I enjoy keeping up with everyone there. And I'm here because............well, all y'all know why I'm here. So I had to read the article about Twitter to see what they were talking about. Apparently, on Twitter, if something the least bit controversial is posted, the place goes nuts. Example: A young woman of Indian decent is crowned Miss America and Twitter goes crazy. Ben Afleck is the next Batman? Twitter explodes with venom. The article went on to say this negativity is not limited to Twitter, but is evident on news site comment boards (which I have seen) and other social platforms, which I assume means the likes of us. It said the spontaneousness of the site creates a culture of impermanence....*those* people are't real. I am so glad this does not describe our group. I KNOW you are all real, and I celebrate your uniqueness. Sure, we have our differences of opinion, but not the mean-spirited comments referred to in this article. For the most part we agree to disagree, and respect our differences, different strengths and abilities, and learn from each other. I know I've learned from all of you. Thanks for being *Us* not *Them*. Off my soapbox now.

I like it!! I'll start it between Milan and A2!! I was behind a black one in Saline today.....the first black one I've seen (that I was sure was a C-MAX). I tried waving, hoping he was looking in the rear view mirror, but no luck.

You're in Ian!!! Way to go!! Tehuti, you're entered too!! Nice job!! By any chance do you have your EV miles and your total miles on the car at about that point? It's just another component of the total stats. If not, no biggie. Have a great weekend y'all!
