That is just so cool that you can track it that way!!!. Exciting, waiting with you!

Upload took most of the way to work this morning, and when I saw the first black screen I thought, $h!t, I really killed it this time! But no. It went really slow thru the first 3, then blasted thru the last 6. I didn't get a chance to look around. That will be later.

New Smartphone: Which one works well with your car?
Adair replied to locot's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
I have a Droid 4. Now that we've determined that it was not the cause of my SYNC failure issues, I can say it works fine. -
Well, it would look into it, but it took me 3 months of failures to get to that point. At least now engineering has some history from my car to refer to. Good luck!
-
It would be a lot less stressful.............if..........the exact car you were looking for was available. I ordered mine and STILL stalked about 200 dealer sites in my area practically every day, looking for a match, in case one became available before mine was delivered. There was never the exact trim/package/color/interior that I wanted. And, since I plan to have the car for a number of years, I didn't want to cave and get something else just for the *instant gratification* factor. Now I'm glad I waited MMM will be too, once his arrives.

Guess what I found while I was cleaning up under the bonnet...

Around here the big ones are called Japanese Beetles. Infestations of them devour the leaves on our beans, grapes and kiwi!! Thankfully none seen this year. -
It was wishful thinking......I finally got out on the freeway this morning and had no EV above 62mph. That, coupled w/ my regen miles still being there, and my EV+ locations still recognized means no update. Calling today.

TRADED IN THE CMAX FOR A PRIUS AFTER 10 MONTHS
Adair replied to MADCMAX's topic in Buying, Order and Leasing
WOW, a lot happens on here after I go to sleep! OK, let's dial it down a notch guys. This is a hot button issue, and a very personal one for a lot of folks. While we may not agree with MADCMAX's decision, it was his to make. I know how easy it is to write or say things in the heat of the moment, but let's keep the conversation civil. ~~signed, Your Loving Libra Peacemaker Mod. :judge: -

TRADED IN THE CMAX FOR A PRIUS AFTER 10 MONTHS
Adair replied to MADCMAX's topic in Buying, Order and Leasing
Well, it sounds like you did what was best for you. Time to move on. Sorry it didn't work out for you. Hope you'll be happier with your Prius. The C-Max isn't for everyone. Good luck MadCMAX! -
Congratulations!! Doin' the *happy dance* for you!! Hope you have a fantastic road trip this weekend.........and the start of your new life together with your C-MAX. I predict your fiance' will continue to love her car!

It does show on Etis, but I don't know how soon it would be removed if it were completed. After I take a short highway trip this weekend I will call them on Monday.
-
Thanks Liz, I'll go check!

I dunno...I got my best MPG ever on the ride home today....60 something... I tried to take a picture but there was a lot of glare. I'll see how it turned out and post if it's legible. Still haven't made it to the freeway. EV+ still knows where home is and all my regen miles are there. Is it possible that part of the update worked and part didn't ?
-
Nope, REGEN miles are still there, and EV+ recognized my office. I won't be on freeways until later this weekend so I can't check that part. I'm not even going to call them on it today. I'm not taking it back over just yet, and I'm not leaving it when I do. I can take it next Friday in the afternoon for the do-over.

Nice to be part of the process, isn't it!
-
Hey VABlueC-Max!! Boy, I don't think that running the engine with the car sitting still can add miles. I think it just, in our case, drains the battery and starts the ICE running, reducing our MPGs. I didn't check my odometer setting before I left on Tuesday, but since EV+ locations are deleted, I wonder if somehow the odo reading is changed too? That is a ?? for someone with way more knowledge of these things than I have.

It's not the first time we've heard it said that readers of this forum have more information quicker than dealerships............Ford would be well advised to have someone drop in and read from time to time. Welcome Mamalou, and glad you found us!! Super glad we could make your experience go easier!

Not much to report on the ACM yet.....that'll take a +75* day baking in the sun......... However...........The update......hmmmmm I'm wondering if it took.......EV+ recognized my house, and I think others have reported that their EV+ locations were lost. I'll have to go read those posts after dinner. :rtfm: If not that, then how will I know if the upgrade was done? BUT, before I knew about that, it sure seemed to me that Jelly went into EV much quicker, and that the tenths of a mile added on quicker. (Maybe wishful thinking?) :future: When I picked Jelly up I had NO LEAVES and the battery was completely depleted. :rant2: The MPGs were 45.2, down from the 47.2 I left it with. (I know, they ran it for 2 hours while they tested it, plus who knows what else while it was there) It's only a 7 mile drive home from the dealership, but after some up and downs because of hills, I ended up with 46 mpgs for the trip and a lush vine of kudzu. I guess I'll know more after a couple of trips to work. Thanks for all the support guys! (Laurel, I'm loosely including you in with *the guys*) You're the best!
