in the 1st sentence you said the SD card caused the CEL issue. but in the 2nd sentence you say the SD card caused the SD Card, which is impossible and different than the 1st sentence, hence my correction statement. reread it. :p

i agree having a 68 degree set point you are asking for trouble. it will constantly run and never shut off since outside temp is so high. I've read somewhere that most AC units can only efficiently go 20 degrees below the outside temp temp so if outside is 93 at best it can do is 73 so it will struggle to get any lower. the smaller cabin in a car helps (compared to a large house with called ceilings) which is why you should use recirculate mode every so often to reduce load on theA/C unit and boost more mpg. 72 or 73 degrees is good enough to stay comfortable. no need for 68

don't forget the button to change the colors for the footwells if you have that option.

i too signed up to get a brochure for my wife and got the brochure on the car last week and the separate private cash offer from the local Ford dealer (Ken Grody in Buena Park) just came in the mail the other day on a 5x7 postcard. It says "Get a $750 private cash** offer on the 2013 C-Max Hybrid and Cmax Energi plug-in hybrid". The ** says it's also good for 2012, 2013 and 2014 cars like "$500 on Fiesta, Focus, and Focus ST and $750 on most Ford/Lincoln vehicles. doesnt the clock start the time once the car is on but not necessarily driving?? which would mean numbers are off?? my car does this for total trip time in hours/mins but it includes accessory mode(car not on) time as well so I ignore the total trip time. I'm glad i do have an avg mph for trip 1 and trip 2 on my display so i can get it from there. also most reporting here are using the display (which is known to be off by as much as, 3-4 mpg, to the higher values not lower) so unless folks post calculated mpg (at the end of the tank at fill up) does it really mean anything to post display pix here? i know a few who do add the calculated values but most dont.

great job @Jus. proves if you can get most of your miles on EV mode then your going to join the club very easily. high % city driving is the best for CMax for sure due to slower speeds and regen brakes.

@Noah - just keep a pen and mini notepad in your car and print out your gas receipt every time so you can post your mpg results to fuelly at home.

wow look at Greens mpg fuelly average vs. MtnMartys. both with less than 7 fills yet one is over 47 mpg by 2 and one is under by 8. just prove same color cars don't act the same.you should revolt!! ;) kidding aside, each car and driver and climate is very different and it proves the point shown by the wide variation / range of mpg numbers on fuelly for this car. too many factors to consider: tire psi avg mph over trip/ tanks worth % hwy miles vs. city miles driven hilly vs flat roads downhill vs uphill A/C or heater or accessories usage engine broken in or not load vs. no load climate / weather issues lead foot vs. careful accelerator modded vs. unmodded roof track (items to add drag) or not driver hybrid experience level time to warm up engine before trip and end of trip typical trip miles on avg (short vs long trip) top off tank when filling out not brand of gas used grade of gas used (87 reg vs 91/92 premium) 600 mile club member or avg joe schmoe wannabe member mere mortal summer blend gas vs. winter blend gas ethanol added gas vs. straight 100% gas clean exterior car vs. dirty exterior car (drag coefficient) early adopter / pre Feb 2013 build date vs. post Feb 2013 build date fordcmaxhybridforum member or not MFT version :) etc. etc. etc.

that a cool option for those with text only and no data plan. easy to figure out as well with the M.P.G. thing to help you remember to text your info in the order of : Miles driven Price paid and Gallons used.

I've only seen one CMax on the road (i think it was) to date so i keep looking for ones to spot and keep confusing it with all those Focuses on the road. so similar (its based off the Focus after all). Need to keep reminding myself the max has the thinner eye slit looking treat lights.i think that is the best way to tell from afar. if course one you get close enough the huge letter C is the dead giveaway. if coming in the opposite direction it would be easy to notice that dual front grille opening.

its definitely a safety issue and should be reported on the safety recall and tsb site to document it.

@jus - they may just laugh in their face and say "your mileage may vary".no way they can prove/test there is an issue with the car they can replicate or no way they will admit it with the open lawsuit issues regarding mpg right now, in case he had a hidden camera to show the news agencies of the issue to hurt Fords reputation.

does the cmax not show the mph set point you have it set to in cruise/eco cruise so you know your actual digital speed (in mph) and not just relying on an inaccurate gage/dial?? on my Passat i can see the cruise set speed as well as current speed

with my tinted cars (with front window same tint as rears) I usually roll down the opposite window if i see a cop on my side so the light comes in and they can see in better so they don't notice the tint as much or just roll all of em diwn to be safe to avoid a ticket. if cmax comes with light tint already then adding a med or light on top of that should be good and safe enough. i hate the 2 tone look with fronts not matching rears.

his tank is suspect since his dealer filled it up and we have no idea if dealer topped it off or went to 1st click or went to overflow or not even click full (less than full to make it look full on the dash screen. best method on initial 1st dealer fill tank is to drive 1 day (or 20 miles) and THEN fill up next day and reset lifetime trip computer, then you go for 600 mi and you fill it up with your method knowing you did fill correctly.can't assume anything on a dealer filled tank.

...until the one that keys your doors, slashes your tires and comes knocking on your door with their 9mm!

can the next person who takes their car in for the update ask the service rep if they are rolling out the update slowly by month car was built to keep dealer impact lower or are all cars available at same time regardless of build date. then report result here for others to know.

they just show dust and dirt more easily.

its nor just build date it's climate temps, warmup time, hills, driving style, hwy vs street, distance traveled, etc etc. sure Ford must do updates and improvements as they find bugs but i doubt that is the only thing to consider.

where do you see avg speed of 30 mph on that screen?

power liftgate means you dont need to lift it like a normal car or push to close it all the way, it will be power assisted to open or close. the hands free is the kick under the bumper so you don't have to use your hands.
