fusion is a more expensive car and higher luxury status car (or so they want you to believe) even though the cmax is a $30k+ car. they usually put the LED front and rear lights on the top of the line car in the company.

sunnyvales track record speaks for itself over at dealerrater.com unfortunately the higher volume dealers like the ones on auto row have less time to help and deal with owner details or issues as they need to churn out all the incoming cars that day in service. so if you can find a lower volume dealer that has the time to care that's what you want just don't go to a dealer that is dead and has no business as they will cheat you for sure.

for those changing their own oil on ramps, how do you compensate for the car being on an angle since the dealer does it on a horizontal lift? not all the oil will drain if it's on an angle.

today's engines are designed and machined work such tight tolerances there are no metal shavings or debris in them at breakin. they couldn't work properly if they did have these. this is not a 1960s car that Joe Smoe overhauls/rebuilds in his backyard. this has been true for at least 5-10 years. at least for the big auto makers and high performance cars.

i haven't seen this mentioned before on these forums. not charging is a serious issue: 6173 - 2013 C-MAX/Fusion Energi With DTCs P0D08 And/or P0D0F Some 2013 C-MAX and Fusion Energi vehicles may set DTC P0D08 and/or DTC P0D0F and experience no charging. 1) CLEAR the BECM and SOBDM DTCs. 2) Connect to a 120 or 240 volt EVSE. 3) Observe the CPLR for 2 minutes and verify the vehicle is charging. Repeat two more times. 3) Perform self-test on the BECM. If P0D08 or P0D0F return, refer to the workshop manual pinpont tests. If P0D08 or P0D0f do not return, do not perform any additional service actions. A software revision is under development. Monitor OASIS for updates.

how fast does it go on EV+ mode without using the ICE when you end you trips at home or work?

rain definitely hurts mpgs as you have more drag (water weight slows down car and less aerodynamic with rain hitting air flow over the car), and then the wet pavement and tire traction is also affected.

yes that is pretty sad. in my work we call that a "person dependent process" meaning the whole process dies if one person goes on vacation or gets sick. very dangerous to run it that way but it close IT is a very specialised job and not much cross training happens. hope they can take care of you soon. Ford really needs to create the infrastructure to support the C Max / Fusion with training of techs / service reps on how to do all the techie stuff and make sure they have the tools and equipment on site. the tech issues will only get more and more as cars get exponentially advanced in the future.

doubt it will work as it would have to access the same device for two functions slowing it down massively. i guess that's why they gave you two usb ports on top of the nav. if you don't have nav then you could use that port for music. owners can chime in to confirm.

while not a mpg tracker, i also use Gas Buddy app to find the best gas prices near me. it's user supported so most recent prices can be updated hourly for more accurate data. you get points for adding data in your area which gives you tickets to enter a drawing to win gas cards.

armor, the tsb is supposed to fix that. many here had the same issues as you and after the fix it works as designed.

Also did anyone post the max USB size the cmax will allow? is it 32 or 64 GB?

it's an option? or something you just setup? i know only the Energi has the app you can review the car and control it remotely. would be nice to see that on the non Energis.

the extra weight of a bigger tank and more fuel would then decrease the trunk cargo space and lower the mpgs.Also while it's nice to know the Max can beat the Prius on range, it's not a fair fight since the Prius has the smaller tank size.make them have equal tanks and the Prius would kill Max in a range fight for to its higher mpg rating. I agree it's a selling point for some who want range and could give up mpgs, although i don't know many folks who drove 500-600 miles to work and don't have the time to fill up for gas on the way :p

they do say red paint fades a lot quicker in the sun than other colors so hopefully in a few years you are still happy with your color choice.
