  1. Had 6,700 on my 13 and now 1,100 on my 14. No problems whatsoever :happy feet: The petroleum companies are the ones with the problem
  2. I never knew that commercial existed :happy feet:
  3. $23,000.00 for a used 2013 Hybrid is crazy. My 2013 Energi with Nav/Sony sold for $24,500.00 with 6,700 miles, in March of this year.
  4. Ha! I'll watch the video, but I had to post this first :happy feet: You can't tell me the C-Max isn't the best :love_shower:
  5. A/C, ICE, and all accessories run off the 12V system the same as all cars. The HVB charges the 12V battery when the vehicle is running. The HVB has nothing to do with the 12V operating systems. Charging is run though the DC/DC converter into the 12V battery and it runs everything. Headlamps, dash cluster/speedo and information displays, electric power steering, brake lamps, shifter interlcok, brake regen control, PCM, BCM and all other control modules. This is why the OP's car only had limited/basic functionality.
  6. All new cars are built on an as needed (assembly line demand) basis. They don't over produce anything and sometime it's necessary to pull a part like that from the line order. Not much demand for a seat frame in the parts bin, so it takes a special order to pull one.
  7. Horse turds. These SA's are full of Horse Turds. In the 20 years I've been programming and reprogramming control modules, it's never happened. They program and that's that.
  8. I just went out and looked at my 2014 Energi and it's the same. Tighter on the left than the right, but not really something to worry about, IMO :hat_tip: This can be an offset to get the dash installed onto the carrier. If all these are like this, it's what I consider to be normal. If it was only a few it could be considered abnormal, but it's not :shift:
  9. I'm just astounded at some women drivers. They really get hateful behind the wheel if you get in their way. It's just not something I expect from women, but I've been accused of being old-fashion :hat_tip:
  10. I've seen some crazy aggressive women drivers. They drive like they're the only one on the road and will cut you off to get 1 car ahead. They have what, I call, brain delay. They wait until the last minute to jamb on the brakes at a red light or for stopped traffic. I had a women driver doing 40 plus on the side street when I started to pull out, she came screaming up the street and I was just able to spot her at the last minute at the stop sign and stop a second time. She never even let off. I pulled up next to her at the corner and asked it she knew what the speed limit was and she started screaming at me and told me to F.O. WOW! What a hopped up psychopath, she was :rant2: Too much coffee or something :runaway:
  11. Yes, my Energi is an SEL, 303A package. I was just being a S.A. ;)
  12. Sounds like the dealer killed the battery and jumped started it, but never properly charged the 12V battery. Or else, your 12V battery it bad and should be replaced. I've seen this happen a lot. They leave the doors open or the key on, only to discharge the 12V battery and jump start it to get it out of the shop. Now you're stuck with it.
  13. I found a fun little power liftgate feature today. I pulled my truck out and parked my NRG were I keep the truck. Walk around the back of the car with the charging cord and when it passed under the back of the car, the liftgate opened ;)
  14. It only misses the "plus" award because it dosen't have an available front crash prevention system.
  15. The best part is.......... The OP wasn't the actual poster of the thread. It was her spouse using her account :drop:
  16. Safelite would be my choice and your ins. will probably cover it without a deductible.
  17. I see you have an image of my car posted too ? The White Energi.
  18. I have the MPG winner that works best for me :love_shower: 2014 C-Max NRG..
  19. I would prefer road testing data over lab data. My 2014 Buick Verano's MPG numbers were rated @ 21/32 and it only managed a combined 16.5 mpg. For a 2.4L, 4 cylinder that's a horrid number. My 2014 Ram Cummins Diesel 6.7L, 2500 4X4 Crew Cab averages 20 under the same exact conditions.
  20. With all due respect... WHERE DID I SAY FIXED ???? If your car dies within 3 months, then the dealer should be able to find the draw. If not, go to someone else. The charger will maintain the battery and obviously there's a major problem if it can't go 3 months. 99% won't have this happen if they charge the battery. Your dealer is useless.
  21. Most new cars have the audio system configured to the vehicle. Now they have started to lock it to the vehicle. I don't know if it's locked, but the buss will require it to be setup. IMO, don't waste your time trying to swap it out,
  22. You can believe and do whatever you like with your car. Same as I can. Don't listen to me, I don't know anything. Happy motoring...................At no time in any of my posts did I say this was a FIX for dead battery problems. You guys seem to read stuff and come away with some twisted idea of what I posted. You seem to hear what you want when clearly, I never made those statements. READ and COMPREHEND. Do whatever you want, I don't care. Just stop twisting my statements to fit your outlook on issue's. Thanks! For those interested in my posts, I'll continue to give sound advice ;)
  23. ^^^^^ A proper reading on the dipstick can only be attained after the ICE has been off long enough to allow the oil to drain back into the oil pan. When checking oil level, it's best to check after sitting for a few hours. You can get a general level by wiping the stick when the engine is shut down, but the best way to be sure would be after parked overnight ;) Pull the stick out and read it
