  1. I have them all around.....what's that Zhackwyatt?
  2. Oh YAY!! Big YAY!!! And yes, I can totally understand! Only a few more days Rachel, and you'll know what all our excitement is about!
  3. I call them proximity sensors....don't know if that's right or not. But they are part of the park assist. Congrats MikeyCats! It's a new adventure!
  4. I asked because our HS football team is the Big Reds :>)
  5. Welcome BigRed (You wouldn't be in Michigan, would you?) That's exactly what I have and I love it! I ordered mine on Oct. 14 and drove it home on Nov. 29. I hope your delivery is just as fast. There's plenty of info here to fill your time while you are waiting. Happy reading!
  6. If there are time slots, then will there be more than one event? Any idea how many are invited to each time slot?
  7. And those of you attending will now have faces to match with names/avatars/car names, etc. Just imagine how many of us will be online next Saturday/Sunday waiting for updated info from the event!
  8. I had some downtime this morning and was reading thru some of the threads that don't apply to me (yet? hopefully never!), like the battery issues. I was really impressed by the level of knowledge on this board! There are some really smart people here. I don't want to list names because I don't want to leave anyone out. Also some really kind and caring folks! :wub2: I'm so grateful to whoever created this forum, and very happy that I found it. I'm learning so much from all of you! :) Have a great week everyone!
  9. I've noticed the sound and feel that you are referring to Jus. But I didn't know if it was my imagination, or an artifact of driving in ridiculous cold weather.
  10. Waaa HOOOO Nick! Way to slam dunk a first tank!! :worship:
  11. I came to my C-MAX from a 2002 Jeep Liberty. It was the first brand new car I had owned in over 40 years. Long story about how I came to buy it, but it came with an EPA MPG of 16/21. Back then, gas prices were way lower than now and I really didn't care. The only time I ever saw anything close to 21 were the couple of road trips we took in it. Otherwise, for the life of the Liberty, I got 17mpg (except when I got new tires and got 15mpg!) . Still and all, I loved it. I could go places and see things in it that I probably won't try in my C-MAX.....it was a Jeep, after all. But...I'm in a different place now, and my Jelly Bean suits me just fine. I find that I'm enjoying this hybrid kind of driving, and I'm loving being more *connected* to my car. I didn't think I'd like it....thought I'd sit too low.....but I love it. I'm getting a lifetime average so far, after 2.5 months and 3,000 miles, of 38mpg with individual trips of 44-52. I don't care what the EPA rating is. I know what I'm getting, and it's more than fine by me. The 47/47/47 was an attraction, sure. I'd be lying if I said otherwise. And no, my average isn't that. But even if I never get close to that for an average, I'm fine with it.........but I'm confident that as soon as the Michigan temps moderate...........I'll be seeing 47 + :wub2: Would I buy one again, you bet I would!
  12. I'm still in the trial period (for Sirius) and haven't used all the services yet. Love the weather map! Love being able to say *I'm hungry* (Thanks Laurel!) and get a list of restaurants. When my daughter's subscription ran out, she just let it go, they called her 3 or 4 times, each with a lower rate. When it finally hit something ridiculously low (I wanna say $5/mo but that may be way off in either direction) she took it again. They travel enough that it's worth it.
  13. UPDATE: Ok, so I really *REALLY* don't like not being able to figure things like this out, :headscratch: so after much trial and error I now have a system that *seems* to work. Since I'm reasonably sure that I'm not the only SYNC/MFT owner who wears a Blue Tooth headset all the time, I thought I'd post what seems to be working for now. :stirpot: First of all, I got a brand new Jawbone Era. If I am on a call when I enter the car, I turn off the bluetooth on the headset before starting the car........the call switches to the phone. I start the car, SYNC pairs with the phone and the call is then coming thru the car. :happy feet: If I am still on the call when I arrive at wherever, I turn on the bluetooth and turn off the car. Call switches to the phone until I am out of range of the car, then the call switches to the headset. :yahoo: If I am not on a call when I enter the car, I turn off the headset until I start the car and the car SYNCs with the phone. At that point, I can turn the headset back on, without interfering with anything. The car is in control. If I don't make any calls while I'm driving, when I exit the car, control goes back to the bluetooth. I tried this 4 times today with my husband and it worked smoothly. I didn't have to touch the phone or repair the earbud. Fingers crossed. ;)
  14. Oh no!! I haven't used mine yet either. Now I think I'll see if there is a YouTube video of how it's done. But maybe I'll wait til summer, and maybe I'll go to the school parking lot when school isn't in session.
  15. Oh, man, I can only hope!!!
  16. Today, 2.14.13, same drive home, same outside temps *BUT* the diff today was a heavy cloud cover outside, which made bun warmers and heater a necessity. Result? 44MPG on the trip home today..................not shabby at all, mind you, but not 52.7. I. CAN'T. WAIT. FOR. SUMMER. :yahoo:
  17. Thanks Plus 3 Golfer. I'll reset when I go out for lunch.
  18. It's still winter here, but it was 37* yesterday on my way home, with the sun shining, so I didn't need heat at all. Same trip home as always, but I got 52.7 mpg!!! Yay Jelly Bean!!!
  19. My clock time was wrong this morning, for the first time in a while. In the past I've reset it myself. When others have had this problem, has it ever reset itself or do you always have to do it?
  20. I've seen it, and liked the color. I was torn between it and the Blue Candy, which I got. I've heard the Ice Storm described as a *chameleon color* changing with the light. The colors in the brochures and on the website don't really do any of the colors justice. Is everything else there that you want? Good luck with your decision.
  21. I did not learn that lesson. This is my 3rd 1st generation car. I bought an Opel GT (look it up, it looked like a mini-Corvette) from GM the first year they came out and boy was that a LEMON! :censored: I even painted lemons on it and drove it around Atlanta for about 9 months, til the dealership owned up to the problems, sorta, and fixed them. That cured me for a while..... Lots of used cars in between.... Then I bought my Jeep Liberty in 2001 (2002 model year) and I totally loved that car, except for the gas mileage. But I feel like I was a different person driving the Jeep. :shift: Now, here I am with yet another 1st gen car. This one has the potential to be the best one yet
  22. And she was turning heads in Ann Arbor today too! :camera: :wub2: my car! Hmmm, hypermiler's disease? Sounds serious! What are some other symptoms? The technician at my dealership last week said my screen name should be MPG-OCD  Just curious, should I have filled up what my car said? 8.99 gal? That would not be *full* right? Ok Redldr1, I won't sweat the 4%. Thanks guys!
