  1. Ok I'm taking it back. Just about got hit in the rear merging onto the freeway this morning. I'm sure that the update did'nt install correctly. I'm calling before I blow the engine or get into an accident on the freeway. Thanks for all of the feed back. I printed it off and will take it with me to show them that nobody else is having this low tork issue. FIX IT!!!!!
  2. I do have some battery assist at first but goes away as soon as the ICE warms up. Then just pure ICE at probably 6,000 rps on the freeway. The engine is screeming down the road and vibrates the stearing wheel the whole time. I have some problems with this update.
  3. Looking good!!! My first tank was 38mpg. It was March when I got mine and was cold here in Ohio then. In warm weather in Southern Cal. you should be getting real good mileage. Give it time to break in the ICE and cycle the batteries so they hold more charge. Just remember Pulse and Glide Very important.
  4. I drive 33 miles one way to work. 1 mile to the freeway at 55. Then 31 miles at 70 on the freeway. Then another mile on city streets to parking lot. 5 days a week. I was getting 46-48 consistantly without trying then started to see 50's. My highest was 55.4 mpg's. Then the update it dropped to 42 on my first trip to work. Today had work at it but got 47. I don't know if the car is learning or me. I still lost a lot of power after the update. I just about blow the ICE trying to merge onto the freeway to keep from getting killed. The trans is bleeding off all of the tork. It takes forever to get up to speed. I really miss the tork it had before. Had no problem getting up to speed. The weekend I stay off of the freeway and drive the 2 lane highways 55 and back roads to get where I need to go. The trip to the dealership is like this. Got 47.8 driving over the day of the update and got 38 on the way home. Go figure. I don't think this update is all that great.
  5. With much effort I managed to get 47.2 on my trip to work this morning. It's not the 55.4 or 54.8 I was getting but it's better than yesterdays 43. I'll take anything at this point.
  6. On the day I dropped mine off to get the headliner and reflash done I got 48.6 mpgs on the 15mile trip to the dealer. Going home after the update I got 42.1. Just seems to me that I lost a lot of power to the wheels after the update. It drives like a standard clutch car with the clutch slipping. RPM's are way high and the car can't hardly get out of it's own way. Takes me a 1/4 mile to get up to 55mph. I think something is seriously wrong with poor Maxie. A Prius past me on the highway this morning while I was still trying to speed up to 70. NOW THATS BAD!!!
  7. I am not happy with this updated software they installed. I lost 5 mpg's on the freeway. Before the update I was getting 47-49mpg's on my trips to work.( even had some 50"s ) This morning after the update 43MPG  WHAT HAPPENED? Before update 70 on the freeway instant mpg gage would run at 40-45. Now 35-40. The tork is gone. Takes a 1/4 mile to get up to speed now and rpm's stay high. ( Like a Prius) Used to cruise at 70 with tach between 2nd and 3rd line Now runs above the 3rd line consistantly.( 3/4 OF THE GAGE) EV will engage only on any down hill runs but only a short time on the long level runs. (1 mile or less at 70) I don't like this update AT ALL. :swear: I want my old car back!!!!! I loved it the way it was.
  8. I just had my headliner fixed and reflashed the CPU on Friday. I had the loud compressor noise also checked. They said I had low refrigerant charge and they topped it off.
  9. Just got mine back with the reflash today. First Impressions I've noticed is that the tork is a lot lower. The RPS rev way up while excellerating. It seems to me that the engine has to work harder to get up to speed. Once there though EV seems to engage more often. Before the update I got 40-45mpg at 70mph on the instant mpg gage. Now ICE rpm's are higher and the instant mpg gage shows mid 30,s at 70mph. I can kick it down into EV mode for a very short time. Hope I don't regret getting the update. Befroe the update I was getting 46 to 48mpg on the freeway at 70. I'll have to see what happens. Here is what I was getting on my trip to work before the update. ( 30 miles on the freeway at 70 and 1.5 miles on city streets and 1.5 on highway at 55.)
  10. Just got mine done today. Made an appointment for today. Took it over and was finished a couple of hours. No problems
  11. Just picked up my Maxie from the dealer. Had the headliner fix and reflashed the computer. FIRST IMPRESSIONS on the drive home. Excelleration is less than before. The rpms rev way up a lot more than before as you excellerate. Once up to speed EV seems easier to get into and stay in. (yes I did take it on the highway at 70 in EV) Just took longer to get up to 70. It's going to take some getting used to. I'll have to learm to drive all over again. As expected lost my frequent destinations (EV+) and also my lifetime regen miles. Surprise !! The lifetime EV miles and MPG stayed. I still have 1/2 tank of feul so it will be a while longer to see if I get more miles out of a tank. I'll keep you all updated on my progress.
  12. Congrats on your new C Max. :love_shower: Keep us updated on your experiences and let us know if you have questions. Enjoy

    Hey all.

Great!!! Nice to see companys going green. :victory:
  14. Congratulations :love_shower: Mine has 44.3 lifetime with 6500 miles on her. Keep up the good work.
  15. I'm in Northern Ohio and got my max at the tail end of winter. I live in the country and could not get it out of the driveway. I'll leave maxie home and drive my 4x4 truck when it snows this winter
  16. Taking Maxie in on Friday for 13B07, Headliner and AC compressor noise. Hope I don't end up with another 22 MPG Escape like last time. :kookie: If so I hope they finish in less than a week.
  17. Plus 3 Golfer I already have the OASIS report printed out and highlighted for them. :future: I thought it may come in handy. Now if they read it or not WHO NO's? I also am having them check my compressor. I printed out a report about the low coolant level may cause it. I am having them check a start up problem to. Cassidy B had the same thing with her car and posted what the solution was. I printed that also. I still have a bad feeling about what they're going to do to my Maxie.
  18. I was told to bring both keys because they would have to program them to the car again after they reflash computer. As long as there is no problem. Then service must not know what they're doing. Oh my. I'd better get plenty of asprin because I see have lots of headaches in my future. :kookie:
  19. I just got mine scheduled to update the software and do the headliner on Friday. There is one thing I haven't seen here. If you go to have the software update and have push button start take both key thobs with you because they will have to be reprogramed to the car after the update. Just thought I would post this in case the service dept. failed to mention it.
  20. Here is the pic I took Friday morning. Sorry out of focus. I was hurrying to take it. Best I have done and don't know how it is doing it,
  21. Congrats!!!!!!! I know how it feels to wait. I ordered mine and took 8 weeks to get it in. Keep us informed on how your doing. Any questions ask away Enjoy your new C Max. :shift:
  22. I just had the highest mpg's for my trip to work this morning. When I shut off my Maxie it said 55.6mpg. I did take a pic and will post it when I get home tonight. 1 mile to the innerstate at 55, 30 miles on the innerstate at 70, 1 mile in construction at 45 and 1 mile on the city streets to work. I was raining and foggy all the way temp was 74 degrees and running without cruise. I normally get 46-48 mpg for the trip. Don't know how I did it. I DO NOT HAVE THE SOFTWARE UPDATE YET
  23. I drive regular and am surpised at the milage. I can drive carefull and do everything right and only get 45mpg. Then the next time on the same trip no cruise going 70+mph and get 47-48mpg. Don't know how.
  24. Just got the recall and update letters yesterday. I will be calling for apointment today and give them time to order the headliner in and HOPFULLY download the CORRECT software update. I'm looking forward to this. I drive a lot on the freeway. (Speed limit just went up from 65 to 70 in Ohio) Now if they could come out with an update for my 1956 Ford 860 tractor. I use a lot of gas cutting and bailing hay. ha ha ha.......
