I was plugged in to usb with iphone 4s, but I think the newer iphones can do it wirelessly.

I tried it a few weeks ago and it worked fine, was able to send text message via voice commands.

When I bought our car in april of 2013 media was saying $5 gas by the end of summer. Currently $1.99 in Oregon

If Chrome didn't work for the upload I was going to try running the vehicle diagnostics and see if that would feed the sync version into the Ford website. If you try that let us know if it works.

I successfully used Chrome after having problems with Firefox.

My car had all the recalls done and 3.8 didn't show up until they fixed it. Not sure why its taking so long for them to get everyone seeing 3.8.

Any thoughts on approaching Ford with this? Seems like it should have failed after less than 10 uses. Unfortunately the warranty is measured in miles and years. The dealer you bought it from might give you a break.

It is normally difficult to go into EV in the first mile or so once you pass 35 mph. After a mile or two it should go into EV.

You can turn the heater temperature down or off until the car is up to temperature. I use the seat heaters until the car is warmed up. Other time I just turn the heater temp down until it goes into EV.

Tell them if they refuse to repair it to your satisfaction you will ask the local news station to do a story on the problems with your "NEW" car.

It should be under the front passenger seat.

Perhaps the install finished but you didn't remove the flash drive at the right time so it tried to reinstall again but errored out when it saw it was already updated. If this is the case then you should be ok.

You mentioned cheaper tires but what does a set of 4 16x6.5 wheels cost? How expensive are they?

Maybe there was never a database problem at all, maybe they just leaked it out to some customers to see if it worked. (beta testers) We'll see if everyone suddenly gets capability to download now.

Had a problem uploading the sync xml file to owner.ford.com I think the problem was the firefox browser (mac). When I switched to Google chrome it worked and said my sync was up to date with 3.8 version. Success! Rebecca, do you know what the difference is between Rev1 and Rev2 of 3.8 sync? Bug fixes?

Good news! Just tried owner.ford.com this morning and it finally said I had an update available. Was able to download this file Gen2v38build15128updatepackageNARev2.zip (600.5mb) Note: The file I downloaded a few weeks ago from the Fusion website was Rev1. Think I will skip installing this one unless I find out the difference.

Gee was this built on a friday afternoon, poor quality. You can try running the vin to see if was in an accident or take it to an independent body shop to get an unbiased opinion. My rear door on drivers side is also harder to close but no noise.

regular gas , completely stock. MPG is more important to me than miles per tank but they kind of go together don't they. Cheers

I get lots of tanks in the 45-49 mpg but never got 600 miles either. Part of it is living in Oregon where you can't pump your own gas so after the first click you are done. The other part is my unwillingness to drive beyond where the car says you have 0 miles left or carry a small tank of gas. Not a big deal just happy to be getting mpg in the high 40's.

Thanks for the response Rebecca. Please don't close our cases as the database is still showing an error that our cars are up to date with 3.6. If that is not fixed I (we) won't be able to download any updates in the future.
