  1. Yeah you reset the problem by starting the car, you have to wait until you get into failure mode again to find the circuit that is drawing current.
  2. Without starting the car I would monitor the total current draw and start pulling fuses one at a time to find the circuit that is pulling down the battery.
  3. Wonder what Ford does with the lemons that they buy back? Do they crush them or just send send them in for service and after the service department says "No problem found" put them back on the lot for sale as a used c-max?
  4. Went on a day trip this week to Cannon Beach and Seaside OR. Its about 1hr 15min drive from our place. Was expecting about 45mpg since we had to drive over the coast range mountains. On the trip over there we got slightly over 50mpg with no AC. Maxed out the hybrid battery a couple times. On the trip back we got about 48 running the AC.
  5. I don't like it either. IMO, I don't think a good design should require you to turn the steering wheel to tell what gear you are shifting into. Would have been better to light up the shifter letters as they are always visible.

  7. Let me start this rumor, Ford and Apple are working on integrating the iPad in place of MFT. And Siri will drive the car. :)
  8. Good advice for any Microsoft product. ;)
  9. Delivered to our door and handed to me ,no signature required.
  10. Had our car reprogrammed this week. It only took 30 minutes and 14S04 has already dropped of the fordetis site. The service guy said "it took it the first time" so maybe some cars have to be reprogrammed.
  11. Sirius is activated when you purchase car for 6 months for free.
  12. Wow, 12v @ 300amps hard to believe.
  13. What country was this in? Was the c-max a hybrid?
  14. Just looked it up Ford says "You will receive a letter in the mail along with your payment no later than September 30, 2014. Thank you for your patience."
  15. Same outstanding actions as mine, was waiting for letter on recall for 14S04
  16. I got my notice to change oil after 1 year from purchase since I had less than 10k miles on it. Not sure how that was programmed in, maybe the salesman did that at the dealership.
  17. I think so too but fuelly does show 40mpg as the center of the histogram.
  18. C-Max just keeps getting better and better, last tank 49mpg, Thanks Ford.
  19. Clearly displayed under the speedometer but obstructed by the steering wheel if its rotated.
  20. I just changed our oil after 1yr and about 8k miles. It wasn't too bad. My ramps didn't work until I jacked the passenger side of the car and then I slipped the ramps halfway under the front tire and 1/3 of the way under the rear. Then I lowered the jack some so the tires were partially resting on both ramps on just the passenger side of the car, like giant wheel chocks to make it safe to crawl under the car. The underbody tray came off and back on easy. Go for it.
  21. Ford are you listening? It's time to get the engineers out of their cubicals and out to the dealers and troubleshoot down to the root cause of the battery problems. It's the right thing to do!
