  1. I think the grill covers are beneficial especially in colder weather but you need to monitor the water temp in the summer months especially in mountain driving.
  2. Here is an old thread on the topic. best-highway-cruising-speed-for-mpgs

    HELLO

Welcome, I guess the previous owner bought a new car with the bingo winnings.
  4. Maybe one of the connectors didn't have a good electrical connection to the wire(s). Wiggling the connector will make that problem appear/disappear. Hope you have smooth sailing going forward.
  5. My 2013 SEL still has original brakes with no issues at 68k miles. Maybe you could brake hard periodically to clean the rotors/pads especially before inspections.
  6. EdH, What is the condition of your old battery after 50k miles that it needed to be replaced?
  7. My radio failed to turn on during a heat wave once when it was about 115F. Everything else worked ok and after it cooled down the radio started working again. Your problem sounds more like a fuse or electrical connection problem since many areas were affected. If you can get a electrical schematic for the car look at what fuses/wires are common for the dash displays/radio etc. Might be very tough to troubleshoot that problem. When working on problems like this I used cold spray and heat gun to try to localize the problem area. Good Luck!
  8. Yes, Music on USB stick is more reliable.
  9. You should feel a large increase in air flow in the upper vents when you close the lower vents. Had a similar problem on my Ford Explorer which may not be related to your problem. The problem was where the solenoid push rod attached to the seal plate for the floor vent the plastic was broken. Was able to fix with a small cable tie to connect the solenoid push rod to the seal plate. This saved a lot of $ and work as I was able to do the repair without taking the dash apart and it lasted at least 10 years until the car was later sold.
  10. Was changed in 2014. Mar 12 2014 4717 -2014 Fusion and MKZ Hybrid/Energi - Oil Viscosity Specification Change The oil viscosity recommendation of 5W-20 on the oil fill caps on some 2014 Fusion and MKZ Hybrid/Energi vehicles may appear to conflict with the owner guide and other service publications which recommend 0W-20 oil. Both 0W-20 oil and 5W-20 oil are approved for use in these vehicles.
  11. I bought mine from walmart but it must have been just before the new version came out. My son also has a c-max so will look for the new version when we change his oil.
  12. Bad Decision to reply to a post. Go to the original post that you want to reply to and click the +Quote button then type your reply after the quoted section at the bottom of the page then Submit Reply. Hope that helps. Welcome to the forum.
  13. My radio froze up today so I added the tape to the fuse so I can pull it with no tools. Radio wouldn't turn off, volume didn't work either. Last time was about 8 months ago. Fuse is on the 2nd row from the right and the 3rd fuse from the bottom. Mine is a blue 15amp.
  14. Video worked for me. Don't know what it is ,maybe Car alarm?
  15. bad decision: Your comment made me laugh. I can only guess that you didn't understand what I was trying to say. cr08 has best long term solution but you may have to pay a repair fee.
  16. The bolded text above tells me your sync was locking up. If you don't pull the fuse 79 right away it would drain your 12v battery.
  17. Just bought some recently, mine looks different. Front label says suitable for Hybrid.
  18. Mark Looking at your .sig, you only change oil once a year and you have the original plugs at 209k?
  19. Could try wrapping some plumbers white teflon tape around the top before putting the lid on? Maybe that would seal it.
  20. I have seen that hole and looked for something I dropped in there too. They have mini attachments you can get for a vacuum with a small flexible tube. You could stick the flexible tube in the hole and move it around and try to capture the hearing aid with the suction.
