I would pull the cabin filter under the dash on the passenger side and see if they have gnawed a hole in the filter.
  2. My sensors will be 10 yrs old in feb 2023, still working.
  3. The weather is a big factor in mpg's, too cold and the engine runs to supply the heater, too warm and you run the AC to keep cool. When the temps are in the high 60's and we are not running the heater or AC our mpg's can go up to 65mpg. So we usually avg. about 50 mpg in the summer and avg. about 40 in the winter. Our lifetime is 44.7mpg. Learning the best way to drive the c-max certainly helps. Take a look at this video from Paul
  4. Agree with jzchen, Get some more quotes on the new transmission. Good luck!
  5. Yep, mine does that too occasionally when it is cold. Mine does it on the driver door panel or the panel in front of the door. (not sure) Seems to go away after warm up. 2013 Hybrid SEL
  6. Agree about seeing the plastic push pins. The shield on my car had pulled off on one corner because I hit a high curb. I only had one missing so I just used a cable tie to secure it.
  7. Ford should have done this... https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2016/SB-10093862-2532.pdf There were also reports of 2013 SE with wiring problems when driving through water. I think there was a tsb for that as well.
  8. Just take it in to your local Ford dealer, get the oil changed or ask for a vehicle inspection. They will look for anything that might generate sales for them.
  9. Kits are sold on amazon & ebay. Some mechanical/technical expertise required. Good Luck
  10. I think the airbag light was on mine too. It was under warranty so I didn't work on the problem at all. But the tech told me of the wires pulled out of the connector and he assured me that they redressed the wire harnesses so it wouldn't happen again. Since it is tied to the airbags if I was going to work on it I would disconnect the 12V battery and examine the connectors under the driver seat checking that all the connectors are fully seated.
  11. Congrats on you new ride, good choice!
  12. fbov, You are describing all the steps to go through in designing a switch circuit and the need for a place to put the switch, So yes it is possible but not for the the lay-man. Too much work to make it worth it. If you haven't worked with high voltage before not recommended. You could hire an engineer to design/fabricate a switch for you but the costs would be prohibitive. But, people do crazy stuff like this all time and some of them actually get their diy projects working. More power to them.
  13. I think if you connect them in parallel there will be current flowing between the two packs. How about running one pack down to empty and then just switching the hot line to a 2nd pack that is fully charged. You would also have to switch between packs when charging.
  14. jzchen, many thanks for your efforts on the forum. It was pretty ugly before you started kicking out the spammers!
  15. Nice car! How many EV miles do you get out of a charge after 9 years?
  16. Recalls are typically done for free at Ford dealers when parts are available.
  17. Check for low coolant, two separate places on c-max for coolant.
  18. Lost that info but if you message me your email I will share the file on google drive.
  19. I updated it myself from 3.08 to 3.10 so as you say the difference may be a firmware upgrade that hasn't been done. This was about the time Ford turned off the ability to download the latest version off the Ford website. Ford said if you want 3.10 go to a ford dealer but I downloaded it off the internet and it installed with any issues.
  20. 2013 Hybrid SEL running Gen2v310build16180updatepackageNA
  21. Yes rear washer fluid tube has a connection joint in the passenger side ceiling under liner. Ours pulled apart there.
  22. Looked at my 2013 Hybrid and that symbol is missing too and I have the latest 3.10 for sync 2. Maybe only Energi?
  23. Take your car to a battery place and have the 12v battery tested to see if needs to be replaced. You could also get a 12v charger and fully charge the battery and see if is able to hold the charge.
