  1. Looked at my 2013 Hybrid and that symbol is missing too and I have the latest 3.10 for sync 2. Maybe only Energi?
  2. Take your car to a battery place and have the 12v battery tested to see if needs to be replaced. You could also get a 12v charger and fully charge the battery and see if is able to hold the charge.
  3. 2013 c-max's already come standard with Sync 2 the latest version is Gen2v310build16180 which can be self installed. To get to Sync3 you need to upgrade the hardware & software. Some on this forum have done this.
  4. My hybrid normally goes into regen in drive when going down hills coasting with no brakes.
  5. Got mine yesterday, haven't had any issues with parking brake so far.
  6. I don't think you need to disconnect the high voltage battery to change the 12v battery.
  7. If you take it to a large u-haul place they will tell what is feasible and handle all the hitching/wiring.
  8. Where are you buying the Mobile 1 oil? I see the price about the same at $5/qt. $60 for 12 qts or $25 for 5 quarts.
  9. Yeah doesn't sound right. I have 2013 hybrid c-max and change my own oil. I buy the 5 quart mobile one synthetic and there is always about a quart left over. I will measure the length of my dipstick and post it later. Mine measured 19.25" from the tip to the bottom of the plastic handle. Also make sure they put on the correct oil filter. Manual says 4.5 quarts for oil
  10. Wonder if anyone has tried installing the energi transmission pump on one of the early hybrid models to extend the transmission?
  11. Yeah , sounds like the 12v battery or the DC->DC converter that charges the 12V battery. Good Luck
  12. Welcome! Which C-max did you get?
  13. Haven't changed ours in 9 years since new. What are the symptoms on your car?
  14. Wow! What is your lifetime mpg?
  15. Take it to a different dealer to diagnose the problem.
  16. Yep, that is how mine fails too. Only happens about once a year or two. Pulling the fuse has fixed it every time so far. If it didn't I would disconnect the 12v battery momentarily in the rear of the car and see if that helps.
  17. Try pulling and replacing the 79 fuse under the glove box first for all radio problems.
  18. where to lookup recalls for car reset oil change timer procedure expiration of tire sealant under passenger seat years of car with transmission high failure rate sync 2 -> sync 3 changeover date how to reset BMS battery monitor ford change to 0-20W oil spec for early models
  19. Linda B. that sounds like it may be a different transmission failure mode than the earlier c-max transmission failures.
  20. So you have 139k and have avoided the 2013 transmission problem so far? If so you are doing good. Even the transmission is replaceable, all depends how much you are willing to spend. Our 2013 only has about 63k on it now and has had no major problems so far. Fingers crossed!
  21. Good video. One thing I did on my Hybrid when I changed the 12v battery, I had the guys at the ford dealer hook up a portable jumper to the plus and minus connections under the hood before disconnecting the battery. By doing this the car never loses 12v power so none of the programming was lost. You just have to be careful with the +12v cable on the battery when you remove it since it is still hot. After connecting the new battery remove the portable jumper from under the hood.
