what are you setting your ac set point to? anything less than 100 will be cooler than outside. seriously if you try 74-76 instead of 72-73 it is still very cold. try to turn down the fan speed to 1-2 instead of full blast and use recirculate mode to use the compressor and engine less to help get better mpg on hot days.

noah, you are mixing up two terms/names of two different techs in the cmax. hill **hold** is what you engage when you are on a hill facing *up* the hill at a stop light and don't want to have the car roll back when you let your foot off the gas (like if someone was driving a stick on a hill and didn't know how to drive clutch and guns the gas when the light turns green to overcome gravity.) with this tech, the car "holdsl without rolling back. hill **decent** is what you use when going DOWN a hill to prevent you from going to fast, like cruise control for downhill, as someone hereput it so well.

check dealerrater.com if you live near the valley Galpin Ford is a good one highly recommended by one of our moderators Jus a CMax. call ahead to be sure they can do it as he was posting that they were on hold for some reason.

this HAS been mentioned before, not in this thread but several of the update threads regarding the update. the info from Ford advises the dealer to ensure they have a hardwired (ethernet) connection. so many folks here were saying their dealer couldn't do the update because of the wireless connection being used was getting dropped half way thru the update, requiring a restart from the beginning.

my Sirius skips a lot in my Passat so i wouldn't expect to much from it. Sat is sat and needs line of sight. might be tall buildings not just trees.

check your settings as they most likely for reset to default to 2d view instead of 3d view.

agree. have you put in a complaint to Ford corporate? the dealers have to stay certified and if too many complain they will be in big trouble with Corp. have you checked out their ratings at dealerrater.com. ? surely there is a better on within 20 miles of you?

you don't care about the car. you just need to check the street your looking for to verify accuracy of the data. zoom in on their map to see if the street exists or not on their site. if not it needs to be added or is in the process of being added. if they ask for the car type you could put the Ford fusion which is the same basically.

the latest Ford cash personal cash rebate incentive lasts till 9/15/13 so maybe around there even though the coupon is good on 2014 models as well (from dealer stock, which there won't be any '14 cmaxes of for a while until they build and transmit them to the dealer inventory.)

i checked a site and it said 10-12 weeks for the cmax right now. hope that's not the case. cutie75 and i are getting closer to being able to get ours.....

I'm surprised with those decent brake score and EV miles why the mpg wasn't better. how are you doing on the acceleration score? make sure you turn the coach on to learn to brake and accelerate properly. use the empower or engage screen on the left to be sure you don't go over the EV cutoff point and kick in the engine, even you don't need it, as much as possible. what is your percent city versus highway driving usually?

Glad we have another Stephen with the proper original Bible spelling here!! be sure to register your system at the syncmyride site and with my ford touch and sign up for the Ford customer loyalty programs to earn free services for your car. there are a few forums here that explains about these items. welcome and enjoy your new car. definitely get all the updates for your car to make it the best it can be. there were quite a few bugs since its a 1st year launch car but it is much better now after almost a year of learning and tweaking by Ford.

goat, you haven't been reading the correct forums if you haven't read much about the users mpg numbers after they had it updated. in fact there are alot of good info there in two different forms. yes the update will help alot once the cold comes around so even if you lose a little mpg in warm weather, the cold weather mpg increase will significantly offset any loss since usually the winter drop is worse.

Moon, your car has less than 1000 miles on it, your brake score aren't even that good ( <95% ), and your still new to driving the car and your getting about 47mpg!!!I'd say you are rocking right now. can't complain and it will only get better!!! keep it up.

do you live in a complex where you share a common mail box that has a bunch of slots? We live on a private culdesac that has a home owners association of 5 houses and we share a large central mailbox but the houses are separate. but most gpses will say the house is located on the left side (your destination is on the left) since that is where the mailbox is, but the house is physically on the right side of the street across from the mailbox. to the gps or map maker the address is where the mailbox is located, not always the actual house.

you send map errors for streets to the mao maker, not to Ford. go to navteq.com and you should be able to virtually view the street you want to see if indeed the map is bad or not. it can take 1-3 years for new streets to show up by the time the land/street work is completed, and maps are redrawn, then map maker digitizes it then they sell it to end users like Garmin and Ford, which then gets in your carand it still may be outdated.

most OEM maps updates happen only once a year or so (and having to buy an expensive $ 100-200 DVD/CD ROM to install it); unlike aftermarket consumer GPS systems like Garmin which can be updated quarterly if you have the free lifetime maps option model. stock GPS is a negative in that regard as they are always outdated at least a year or two compared to consumer add-on GPS units, sadly. I would think after the first year of all these warranty issues with the C-max, those map SD cards won't be free anymore and Ford will start charging owners.

zhack, slight correction....actually EcoCruise does NOT hold the speed constant. that is what normal cruise control does. eco cruise will move up/down (approx +/- 5 mpg or so around your setpoint for your cruise) so that it will rev at the most fuel efficient rpms to get the best mpgs. in normal cc the engine will significantly increase the rpms when you start to climb a hill in CC , which in turn will show a terrible mpg on your instantaneous mpg gage.

if your regen miles were not reset back to zero, that's the first and best sign you DID NOT get the update applied correctly.
