If your battery was dead and the car was jump started, you need to properly charge your battery with a battery charger.

Can Navigation be added after purchase?
drdiesel1 replied to tehuti's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
Yes, you can add the factory Nav system, but it's gonna be 5 X the price of anything else. OE parts over the counter are expensive and the labor costs will kill it. You need the factory scan tool to configure the system too. You'll be better off just updating what you have as far as costs go. -
I prefer a hitch bike rack. It's easy to load and unload. It won't cause a large MPG hit like a roof rack will. Having a roof rack isn't an easy on/off when not in use. The hitch and rack system will cost about the same.

Congrats on the C-Max. I think you made a great choice and dodged a bullet by not buying a Hyundai :future:

My Energi has an external pump. It was added to the trans to allow the system to run on 100% (21 miles) EV power with the larger HVB. The hybrid is not equipped with this same pump. Yes, I deduced this based on design differences between them.

This has a short blurb about the patents they traded: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hybrid_Synergy_Drive

The capping is built into the bulb. I always cap my HID's because I've never seen an OE bulb that's not capped. I run the 55 watt bulbs for better light. This system is designed for this headlamp controll system. That's why you order the 2012 + Focus application. Retro Solutions has the best brand (Digital) ballasts and the kit has a lifetime warranty. The Digital ballasts have the slim option and are very small and water proof. I use them on my motorcycle too. Great kits and no junk.

Yeah! We always would see them testing the roadsters on the backroads out here. Nice cars, but not priced to meet my needs.
-
Yeah! Like the owner leaving something on ;)

The tire mobility kit is a compressor. No need to replace it with another one. Just throw in a rope plug kit and your set.
-
I guess they changed strategy after the fires... So when you getting one ?
-
I purchased the kit from https://retro-solutions.net/cart.php?timestamp=1384560855 It's the 2012 + kit for the Focus. It was 190 bucks with the slim line Digital brand ballasts and bulb capping. I only did the low beams. We have H11 low beam and H1 high beam bulbs. Glad you like the charger. It's the best cheap charger I've owned. Mines over 2 years old and I use it all the time. For 45 bucks, you can't beat it.

So the dealer can jump it......... They need to have power to run a scan tool on it. Some dealer employee's are just frickin geniuses.

Yes, you can buy the low end units for under 100K, but the top of the line units are 100K plus. That's why, I said 120K PINTO :sandman:

I'm so tired of people understating the real OTD cost of cars...... ;) By the time you drive off the lot with that 92K Tesla, it's close enough to 120K Let's keep out fact and rants, striaght :drop: I highly doubt you can buy one at MSRP. Dealer markup's are on all premium vehicles. The dealers will work added fee's into the deals every chance they get. TT&L is over 10K in most states. Don't forget the add-on's either. Paying 100K plus for a car is crazy, IMO. Even if I had money to waste, I would buy one.

Nothing in that site will work for the C-Max and yes it looks abandoned to me too  -
key fob not working
drdiesel1 replied to srfwito's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
As you can see by the OP's second post, the problem wan't a key FOB related issue ;) -
Tow drivers aren't the brightest bunch. They could have used a jumper pack and drove it out to the street. OMG! How incompetent can you get :drop:

Selectable LED, DRL's incorporated into the headlamp housing like all the others have. OLM readout to know where the oil life remaining % is at. Better sun visors. Replace the stupid leaves for something with usefull data, like an OLM (oil life monitor). An all windows up from the FOB to match the all windows down feature. Memory seats and outside mirrors with a passanger power seat. LED head and tail lamps. Lens covers over the Fog lamp housings to reduce drag. Accessory covers for the wheels to reduce drag. A rear under body panel to finish off the rear openings between the rear axle and rear bumper area. An accessory roof rack with removable uprights when not in use. Removable rear seats like the mini vans have to add more cargo space when needed. Available darker factory glass on all the second row and back windows. Like a Suburban and other trucks have. Factory grill blocks. TPMS readout for tire pressure data on the DIC in place of the stupid leaves and still keep the requested OLM data.

Tips for Renewing Sirius Radio Subcription
drdiesel1 replied to Laurel's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
My other car had it and I let it run out. They sent me a second letter and offered it for half the renew now price. I traded the car in, so I never signed up again.
