  1. Are all voice commands affected? Did you try "climate" or "radio" or "services"? Recently, I found I was unable to make voice activated calls. I finally deleted and reloaded the phone book and that "fixed" the problem. Note that just forcing a phone book update wasn't sufficient.
  2. The motorcraftservice.com site has recently changed. Where can I find the monthly, per-vehicle (e.g. 2013 C-Max) subscriptions?
  3. Try leaving the file zipped; i.e. don't unzip it.
  4. The really, really, really annoying thing is that the Ford rep (Rebecca or whomever) said, in this thread, send her the VIN number and she would check and find out what's going on (viz. some VIN's get the update officially while others don't). Still no response. :angry2:
  5. Dates on etis are in day/month/year format. Perhaps that answers the discrepancy.

    Creak on roof

Do you mean the headliner (i.e. "ceiling")? There were reports here about gaps at the edge of the headliner. Especially noticeable (from outside) where the headliner meets the the windshield. You'll just have to search around for more info. Of interest might be the old post about adding a dome light to the headliner to help illuminate the rear area. There were good pictures that show how the headliner attaches to the roof. As for me, I've had no headliner issues and certainly nothing wrong with the actual roof itself. --- Edit --- Rereading you original post, I thought you were talking about a crack! By "creak" do you mean noise? Either way, I've had no problems.
  7. This today from OASIS. 2011-2016 Multiple Vehicles - SYNC GEN 2 MyFord/MyLincoln Touch v 3.8 And SYNC 3 - Siri Eyes Free Functional Issues Using Bluetooth And Apple iOS 9.2 And 9.2.1 Some 2011 thru 2016 Ford or Lincoln vehicles equipped with MyFord/MyLincoln touch and version 3.8 software or SYNC 3 may exhibit Siri Eyes Free not working over Bluetooth properly with iPhones using iOS 9.2 and 9.2.1 software. Ford is currently working with Apple on a resolution. As a workaround, plugging the iPhone into a USB port allows Siri Eyes Free to operate properly. Recommend that the customer have their iPhone plugged into a USB port to operate Siri. Plugging the iPhone in a USB port may cause Autoplay to start playing USB media. Autoplay can be disabled or enabled using the process in the Owner’s Manual or SYNC Supplemental Guide. Monitor OASIS for future updates.
  8. My interpretation would be: 6 = several Some of each, e.g. back and forth to the store, once in awhile up to 50+ mph = city/highway Based on the word "soon", unlikely but not impossible No way that I'm aware of to force a system test.Assuming you use the car daily, I'd schedule a dealer appointment for late next week. If the issue goes away, you can always cancel. Hope this helps. Cheers.
  9. Look in the Maintenance and TSB's forum. There's a fairly old TSB (technical service bulletin) that relates to the problem.
  10. Hence my suggestion, in the changes-I'd-like-to-have forum, for trigger-less shifting from drive to neutral.
  11. For what it's worth, found this on owner.ford.com while checking to see if 3.8 is available for my C-Max (it isn't :waiting: ): Posted Dec. 18, 2015: Some 2011 thru 2016 Ford vehicles with MyFord Touch and 3.8 software may have a symptom of Siri Eyes Free not working over Bluetooth properly with iPhones at iOS 9.2 software. Ford is currently working with Apple on a resolution for this. For the time being, having the phone plugged into the USB port allows Siri Eyes Free to operate properly. We recommend that owners of MyFord Touch-equipped vehicles have their phones plugged into the USB port to operate Siri. If plugging into the USB port causes Autoplay to start playing USB media, please note that this can be disabled, or enabled, using the process described in the owners manual.
  12. Am I the only one (still) waiting for the official 3.8 notification? Curious minds want to know.
  13. Well done. Glad that it was indeed "just" the thermostat. Excellent picture, too.
  14. I hope it really is just the thermostat. In my experience, thermostats fail "open" so that engines don't overheat.
  15. Alas, there is no (known) way for the high-voltage battery to recharge a dead 12V battery.
  16. Agreed. I use it for my other vehicles as well.
  17. I have a voltmeter like the one mentioned and just leave it plugged in to the console outlet. It's simply a fun, peace-of-mind placebo.
  18. It's my understanding that the lithium-ion battery also likes/needs to be warmed up.
