  1. What the advantages of Ford Escape Plug-in vs Rav4 Plug-in?
  2. I have a Hybrid but what can Energi owners do to help mitigate the HVB degradation during their daily charging/commutes?
  3. Looks great. Looks blue to me too, but I'm also red-green color-blind.
  4. You are still stuck with Sync 2 even though you are at 3.10 version. To get Sync 3 capability you need to get 2016 or later car. You can use Siri eyes free however.
  5. I use the seat heaters until the engine warms up which helps it go into ev sooner. Usually takes about 3 miles, then I turn on the regular heater. My current tank avg. is about 44.7 mpg using the readout.
  6. Here is a similar car at the dealer where I bought my c-max in 2013. The MSRP is $38645 and for sale price is $35148 https://www.courtesyford.com/new-Portland-2020-Ford-Escape-Titanium+Hybrid-1FMCU9DZ2LUB06778
  7. Found this below on Ford Edge forum... BTW-Here is the Ford specs sheet on SYNC2 v3.10 EA5T-14D544-BA ABOUT THE LATEST UPDATE The new software update for SYNC® with MyFord Touch® systems includes all the improvements from previous updates, plus additional changes to accommodate new and updated customer devices, such as: Hazard switch illuminates on Focus / Escape with ignition off and park lamps on Next Track / Previous Track controls from SYNC touchscreen SYNC Maintaining Repeat / Shuffle settings that were set on the device side Compatibility updates for the latest phone and media devices The installation of this update will take up to 30 minutes to complete. Be sure to keep your engine running (not in accessory mode) throughout the entire installation process. Turning off your vehicle during the update installation will disrupt the process. Although your vehicle must be in park when you begin the installation process, you may drive your vehicle while the update is downloading to your SYNC® system. If your vehicle is equipped with the Intelligent Access with Push Button Start feature, you will need to temporarily disable the Automatic Engine Idle Shutdown (AEIS) component before beginning the installation in order to prevent your vehicle from timing out and shutting off the engine before the software update is complete. To disable this feature, use your steering wheel controls to navigate to the Settings menu on your left-hand Instrument Cluster LCD display. From there, select Vehicle >Auto Engine Off >Off. (If you do not see this setting, there is no need to make any changes before starting the update.) Alternatively, after initiating the installation, you may drive the vehicle during the update process to avoid shutting off the engine. The next time you start your vehicle, the AEIS will automatically reset to "On." Please note: During the update installation, SYNC® will temporarily appear to not recognize your mobile phone or media device. This is normal. Once your system has been successfully updated, SYNC® will display a notification stating "Installation complete."
  8. I found a copy of latest Sync 2 (v3.10) release out on the internet and installed it a couple years ago. It works fine on my 2013 Hybrid. 3.10 looked to be a patched version of 3.08 , saw that while it was installing. Someone on the Fusion forum had posted a link where to find it. 3.10 removed the car self test function that was built into the menu's. At the time Ford dealers were charging to have 3.10 installed. You used to be able to download the latest version from the Ford website but they stopped doing that with version 3.08.
  9. My driver door is the opposite, it only unlocks the door half of the time on the first try.
  10. Well that is good news and it is interesting the Transmission also shows up on the previous page 10 under the Powertrain 5yr/60000 mile warranty.
  11. Went looking for the original warranty for 2013 C-max and found this below. My question , why does the transmission fall under the Hybrid/Electric 8yr/100,000 mile warranty rather than the Powertrain 5yr/60,000 mile? New Vehicle Limited Warranty. We want your Ford C-MAX ownership experience to be the best it can be. Under this warranty, your new vehicle comes with 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper coverage, 5-year/60,000-mile Powertrain Warranty coverage, 5-year/60,000-mile safety restraint coverage, and 5-year/unlimited-mile corrosion (perforation) coverage – all with no deductible. C-MAX unique electric components are covered during the Hybrid/Electric Unique Component Coverage, which lasts for 8 years or 100,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
  12. Sounds like Ac/defrost noise. easy to see if that is it.
  13. One thing to remember in the winter is if the heater is turned on and the engine isn't fully up to temperature the engine will turn on regardless of the charge on the HV battery. If you turn the heater temperature down then the car will go into EV sooner or just wait until the engine fully warms up.
  14. Yep, My daughter also has a Prius in fact two of them. She complains about lack of acceleration getting the freeway. ?
  15. My 2013 with about 52k on original tires measured 6/32 on all tires a few months ago. How often were you rotating them?
  16. Download the manual and you can read what the display on the dash shows. https://justgivemethedamnmanual.com/ford-c-max-owners-manuals/ You can also post a photo of the dash with the car running in park.
  17. Was probably the 12 volt battery that went bad not the hybrid battery. It's in the back of the car. 38 sounds more normal for the MPG reading on the dash. Constant 118 sounds like something is wrong. This time of year in cold weather around 40 would doing good. Welcome!
  18. Sounds like a bad environment where the workers are afraid to speak up. "Quality is job ??"
