  1. I think the airbag light was on mine too. It was under warranty so I didn't work on the problem at all. But the tech told me of the wires pulled out of the connector and he assured me that they redressed the wire harnesses so it wouldn't happen again. Since it is tied to the airbags if I was going to work on it I would disconnect the 12V battery and examine the connectors under the driver seat checking that all the connectors are fully seated.

  3. fbov, You are describing all the steps to go through in designing a switch circuit and the need for a place to put the switch, So yes it is possible but not for the the lay-man. Too much work to make it worth it. If you haven't worked with high voltage before not recommended. You could hire an engineer to design/fabricate a switch for you but the costs would be prohibitive. But, people do crazy stuff like this all time and some of them actually get their diy projects working. More power to them.
  4. I think if you connect them in parallel there will be current flowing between the two packs. How about running one pack down to empty and then just switching the hot line to a 2nd pack that is fully charged. You would also have to switch between packs when charging.

  7. Recalls are typically done for free at Ford dealers when parts are available.
  8. Check for low coolant, two separate places on c-max for coolant.

  10. I updated it myself from 3.08 to 3.10 so as you say the difference may be a firmware upgrade that hasn't been done. This was about the time Ford turned off the ability to download the latest version off the Ford website. Ford said if you want 3.10 go to a ford dealer but I downloaded it off the internet and it installed with any issues.

  12. Yes rear washer fluid tube has a connection joint in the passenger side ceiling under liner. Ours pulled apart there.
  13. Looked at my 2013 Hybrid and that symbol is missing too and I have the latest 3.10 for sync 2. Maybe only Energi?
  14. Take your car to a battery place and have the 12v battery tested to see if needs to be replaced. You could also get a 12v charger and fully charge the battery and see if is able to hold the charge.
  15. 2013 c-max's already come standard with Sync 2 the latest version is Gen2v310build16180 which can be self installed. To get to Sync3 you need to upgrade the hardware & software. Some on this forum have done this.
  16. My hybrid normally goes into regen in drive when going down hills coasting with no brakes.

  18. I don't think you need to disconnect the high voltage battery to change the 12v battery.
  19. If you take it to a large u-haul place they will tell what is feasible and handle all the hitching/wiring.
  20. Where are you buying the Mobile 1 oil? I see the price about the same at $5/qt. $60 for 12 qts or $25 for 5 quarts.
  21. Yeah doesn't sound right. I have 2013 hybrid c-max and change my own oil. I buy the 5 quart mobile one synthetic and there is always about a quart left over. I will measure the length of my dipstick and post it later. Mine measured 19.25" from the tip to the bottom of the plastic handle. Also make sure they put on the correct oil filter. Manual says 4.5 quarts for oil
  22. Wonder if anyone has tried installing the energi transmission pump on one of the early hybrid models to extend the transmission?
